7th ANNUAL CAVALCADE OF STARS, Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park, Norwalk, Friday May 17 – Sunday May 19, with 280 mile-per-hour Alcohol and Nitro Injected Dragsters and Funny Cars, and a spectacular fireworks show on Friday and Saturday night.

VICTORIA WEEKEND, downtown Put-in-Bay, Saturday May 18, honoring England's Queen Victoria's birthday, observed by our friends in Canada.

ISLAND-WIDE GARAGE SALE, downtown Put-in-Bay, Saturday May 18, 10am-5pm.

INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM DAY, museums throughout Erie County offering free admission and special programs from 11am-4pm Saturday May 18.

MAY DAY, Maritime Museum of Sandusky, Sandusky Bay Pavilion & Battery Park Marina, Sandusky, Saturday May 18, 9am-5pm.

WIGHTMAN-WIEBER SAFETY FAIR & KIDS FUN FESTIVAL, Sandusky Bay Pavilion, Sandusky, Saturday May 18, 12noon-5pm, featuring more than 50 health and safety-related agencies, extreme inflatable activities, arts & crafts, food, and more.  Admission is one non-perishable food item (per person).

FIRELANDS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA GALA: MIAMI NIGHTS, Sawmill Creek Resort, Huron, Wednesday May 15 at 5pm, featuring live music, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and auction.

50+ LIFESTYLE SHOW, Sandusky Mall, Wednesday May 15, 6-9 pm

THIRD THURSDAY, Downtown Vermilion, starting at 6pm, with 20 or more performers throughout the downtown area, along with artists and food.

19TH ANNUAL LAKE ERIE WALLEYE FISHING AND GOLFING SEMINAR WEEKEND, Commodore Perry Inn & Suites, Port Clinton, Thursday May 16-Sunday May 19, featuring golf, fishing, bird watching, trips to Cedar Point, and the indoor and outdoor shooting ranges at Camp Perry will be open.

ARTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL, downtown Fremont, Friday May 17, with art work from local schools, live music, an Art Walk, performing arts and food.

LIVE PERFORMANCE OF “ANNIE,” Fremont Community Theatre, Friday & Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm, through May 19.

LIVE PERFORMANCE OF “HARMONY ROMANCES”, Playmakers Civic Theatre, Port Clinton. Thursday-Friday –Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm, May 9-19.

VFW 2480 ARMED FORCES DAY ROCKIN’ BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL, VFW 2480 Memorial Park, Port Clinton, Saturday May 17 from 11am-midnight, featuring a Freedom Ride Poker Run, and music from The Fulton County Bluegrass Band, The Bridge County Bluegrass Band, The Ottawa County Bluegrass Band, Country Express, Sonny & Posse, and The Catsass Band.

TUNING UP FOR FOOD MOTHERS DAY CONCERT RESCHEDULED, Sunday, May 19, starting at 1pm. Entertainers include 2011 "Fremont's Got Talent" winner, Lori Willey, The Christian Kaser Band, and the Connor Rose Show, at the Log Cabin Stage inside the Sandusky County Fairgrounds, to benefit the Sandusky County Food Pantry.
